BROOKLYN DREAMLAND
In the 1980's I began a journey of self discovery through Brooklyn New York.  The journey took the form of on-site location drawing and painting, as inspired by my teacher and mentor, Robert Weaver (with a good dose of influence from Jack Potter).  I began to rediscover locations from my childhood, with new eyes.  These locations, primarily in Coney Island, Brooklyn were in complete shambles when I rediscovered them in the 1980's.  Coney Island in particular was a haven for drugs and violence and the once gleeful children's playground was just a faded memory.  What I found in Coney Island became the basis of my show entitled , "Sodom by the Sea" and subsequently my website: www.brooklyndreamland.com.  You'll see none of the violence or drugs that prevailed at the time but instead you'll find my candy-colored memories of a childhood spent in Brooklyn.
